Prepare: Prepare yourself to meet with God and pray that the Holy Spirit will help you to understand and respond to what you read. Use this prayer prompt to start your time with God.
Read: Read the Bible passage, taking time to absorb and simply enjoy it. A verse or two from the Bible text is included on each page, but it's important to read the whole passage. Each day you continue on from the previous verses in the passage you're studying, providing a richer understanding of that section of the Bible.
Explore: Explore the meaning of the passage, listening for what God may be saying to you. This section is written by an experienced Bible teacher. It often provides helpful cultural details and context. Before you read the explore section, ask yourself: what is the main point of this passage? What is God showing me about himself or my about my life? Is there a promise of command, a warning or example to take special note of?
Respond: This last section in the daily reflection is often a great prayer or journal prompt to help you think deeper about how the day's reading applies to your life. Respond to what God has shown you in the passage in worship and pray for yourself and others. Decide how to share your discoveries with others.
